Kwahuman Association of GA Inc. is non-profit organization dedicated not only to the welfare of the Kwahu community in the Atlanta GA area, but also to advancing the socio-cultural activities of the Association through its varied programs. Since its re-organization in 2014, the Association has continued to grow. It now has over 100 registered members.

The Organization which shall remain non-political has as its aims, among others, the following:

  1. To foster cordial relations among all Kwahus and Non-Kwahus in the State of Georgia.
  2. To try as much as possible to assist members in good standing whenever necessary.
  3. To identify and discuss problems in the Kwahu Traditional Area (hereinafter referred to as Home State) and where feasible, to make contributions, financial or otherwise with a view to helping to solve said Problems.
  4. To project and uphold the GOOD NAME of our Home State-OKWAHU.
  5. To play a healthy and meaningful role as Citizens of Ghana from Kwahu and act as worthy Ambassadors of the said Area.
  6. To cooperate with the Ghana Mission and other U.S. Organizations on matters affecting the well-being of Kwahus in the State of Georgia and when and where necessary, in the U.S. as a whole
  7. To liaise effectively with other GHANAIAN Associations and Organization in the State of Georgia if and when called upon.
  8. To promote the culture of the Kwahu people.

Affiliations – The Kwahuman Association of Georgia Inc., is an affiliate member of the Ghana Council of Georgia and a sister member of Okwahu United of North America – an umbrella association of Kwhuman members in North America

Our Activities – The  Kwahuman Easter and Fundraising Dance – Kwahu United of North America  National Congress – End of year get-together party for the Association members and guests, Work with the Ghana Council during GhanaFest to display our food and culture  among others.

Our Projects – Work with Okwahu United of North America to support their activities such as the renovation of Atibie Government Hospital , Akwasiho Public Library and Computer Learning Center and the Pepease Library which is now completed and being used .
