Welcome to ghanacouncilofgeorgia.org, the website of the Ghana Council of Georgia, Inc. (“the Council”, “we”, “us”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Ghanaian community in Georgia. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using this website

You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes: to learn about the Council and its member associations, attend our events, donate, contact us and take part in our community. Please do not:

break the law or encourage others to do so;
try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its accounts or its servers, or interfere with how it works;
send spam, malicious code or automated traffic intended to overload the site;
impersonate another person or organization, or post false or misleading information.

Donations

Donations are processed securely by Stripe and support the Council’s programs, including the Ghana House Project. The Ghana Council of Georgia, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive an email receipt; please keep it for your records. Donations are generally non-refundable. If you made a donation in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review your request.

Events and tickets

Event details on this website, including dates, times, performers and venues, may change. We will post updates on the event page and share them on our social media channels. Tickets for some events, including GhanaFest Atlanta, are sold by our ticketing partner VIPSOCIO on its own website; your purchase is governed by VIPSOCIO’s terms, including its refund policy. By attending a Council event, you agree to follow the venue’s rules and the instructions of event staff, and you understand that photos and video may be taken at public events and used to promote the Council.

Classified ads and content you submit

When you submit a classified ad, a message or other content, you confirm that it is accurate, that you have the right to share it, and that it is lawful and respectful. You keep ownership of your content, but you allow the Council to display it on this website for its intended purpose. We may edit, refuse or remove any content at our discretion, including ads that are misleading, offensive or unrelated to our community. The Council does not check, endorse or guarantee classified ads, and any transaction you make through an ad is between you and the other party.

Our content

The text, photos, logos, graphics and other material on this website belong to the Council or to the people who gave us permission to use them, including our sponsors and member associations. You may share links to our pages and use our content for personal, non-commercial purposes with credit to the Ghana Council of Georgia. Please contact us for permission before using our name, logo or content in any other way.

This website links to other websites, such as our sponsors, member associations, ticketing partner and social media pages. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

Disclaimer
